... Day 2: Hualien ...

It was wakey wakey early in the morning, as we prepare to take 自强号 to Hualien. Choo Choo....

And then at the train station, we were picked up by the owner of the 民宿:石头的家. And off we went for a day's tour at Taroko Gorge National Park. You'll also find 长春词,燕子洞, 九曲洞 etc there. We also went to 七星潭 and a wharf at Hualien where we ate sashimi... Kekeke....

Hee.. Faces on the rocks???
... Day 1: Singapore - Taipei ...

Well, there was quite a bit of excitement on the first day. It was probably not entirely our first day, since we only landed at Taoyuan Int'l Airport something like 6pm that day..

But nonetheless, Binjuan and I reached Changi Terminal 3 rather early, so that we could walk around and take some photos. Nice place, and we commented that CIA is a place where u see the building architecture transform from the 80s to the 21st century (T1 to T3). Hahaha...

It was to Taiwan at 1pm, when we boarded Jetstar 3K521. Boring flight and nothing to do onboard. Kinda squeezy, so we spent most of our time sleeping before we landed 4.5 hrs later at Taoyuan.

The next 2 hours was kinda rush, as we rushed to collect the train tickets for our trip to Hualien the next morning and to check into our little hostel room just opposite the Taipei Main Station. The room was damn small la, with just enough room for a double bed and to put our bags. But oh well, it's just a night there, as we would leave the place early to catch our train to Hualien.. Hehe...

Next up, Shihlin Night Market. One word: OVerrated. OK, not that I wanna be so direct, but really, most of the stalls are selling almost the same stuff. Big 鸡排, and fried oyster. I still prefer the local version of fried oyster. Keke... 大饼包小饼 oso not nice. Shihlin... Well well...

... Singaporeans ...

Sad to say, but I really think so... Singaporeans are a pathetic lot... A lot of people who 看不开...

Well, that includes me sometimes... Keke....

... 2008 ...

The new year is here, and it's 2008. It promises to be an exciting year ahead. For many reasons listed below, and I'm definitely looking forward to savouring and enjoying every moment of it! Ha!

  1. My final semester in NUS. And this means..
  2. My commencement, aka graduation, from NUS. It's been a long journey.
  3. My graduation trip to somewhere which I have yet to confirm. In fact, we haven't talked much about it yet. And finally, I'm embarking onto a new chapter..
  4. To join the working world. I don't know how it'll be like, but I hope it'll be exciting and interesting.. But then again, hope I'd be able to strike a good balance with my family and friends and of course,
  5. To find more sweetness in romance, and to share many many more moments with you!~ And that leads me to the next reason that 2008 will be an exciting year,
  6. Hopefully an overseas trip with you! Our 1st overseas trip!!! Wahahahahah!!! :)
2008, it'll be a better year! A more exciting year!

... New Year's Eve ...

And as a prelude to the excitement to 2008, New Year's Eve was spent having steamboat dinner with Binjuan's friends! They sure are a lively group of people. Most of the times were spent shooting down people, laughing and of course stuffing ourselves full with food! I was so full after that. To the brim! Thanks for the hospitality!

And then it was to Marina South carpark A with Binjuan to watch the countdown fireworks. Definitely much better than the one we watched on 19 August, fired by the SATs. Beautiful fireworks, marvellous company, good weather... What else can I ask for? Haha, ok, the jam trying to get out of Marina South was bad, but then, bearable, because.... :)

I have you with me...

大手拉小手

And what is a New Year countdown without sparklers, to usher in the sparkling new year? Hahaha, at ECP...

And my favourite pic... :)
